Many software products allow you to convert videos to audio on the desktop like Freemake Video Converter which is selected as Gizmo’s top pick for the Best Free Audio-Video Format Conversion Program.
If you happen to have some music videos and need to convert them into mp3 audio files right away on your Android mobiles, that program can’t help much unless you look for similar Android apps to serve the purpose.
One of such apps I often like to use is MP3 Video Converter, which converts mp4 video files to mp3 audio files swiftly and effectively on mobile devices using the Android system, while other video input formats 3GP and FLV and the audio output format AAC are well supported.
The interface of this app is pretty simple and easy to use—select a video file from your device, set an output format and press the Convert button. That’s it. The resulting audio file is then saved in the folder you chose.
If you need more, after selecting a video file, you have an opportunity to add some basic metadata such as the song title, artist and album to the audio file that you’re converting to.
The output mp3 files can optionally be encoded in VBR (variable bit rate) or CBR (constant bit rate), ranging from medium (128 kbit/s) to high quality (245 kbit/s) bit rates. If a video file contains AAC audio, it can be copied over at the same bit rate and saved in an m4a container or file extension. This process takes only a few seconds for a typical music track.
This app is good for converting media files one by one as it does not support batch processing so far. It’s free to use but supported by ads and after each conversion, it displays a fullscreen commercial until you tap to close it.
