250+ Windows Tweaks At Your Fingertips

Windows 10 tweak optionsWindows 10 is a great free upgrade, and certainly an improvement on Windows 8 and 8.1. But it's still good to tweak your PC and adjust various system settings so that the machine behaves just as you like it. The trouble is, all those settings are hidden behind a huge variety of control panels, option screens, menus, dialog boxes and so on, and it can be difficult to know where to look in order to change a particular setting.

Thankfully, there's a special customisation option in Windows 10 that shows links to more than 250 tweaks, from a single screen. And you can get to that special screen via a single click on a desktop icon.

First, though, you have to enable that desktop icon and there's a special trick in order to do it. Right-click on the desktop, choose New Folder, and type (or copy and paste):

TweakMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} as the name of the folder.

You'll now find your special icon is all ready to lead you to tweaking nirvana.

Nothing new here. That shortcut is sometimes known as "God Mode" and it was already mentioned in Vic's article here: http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/three-tricks-make-windows-8-much-easier-and-quicker-use.htm

Great tip and really useful.

Thanks.
