It's been a while since our friends at Digiarty ran one of their special free offers, so it's good to see that they're doing one in time for Halloween. The company's WinX DVD Copy Pro, which has some good DVD copy schemes, so you copy a DVD, or back it up, or convert to MPEG2 and can watch them on your portable device or PC, is currently on sale, reduced from $49 to $19.
But if you download it via http://www.winxdvd.com/giveaway/halloween.htm you'll do even better, as you can get it totally free of charge.
The download, which should run on all currently supported versions of Windows, runs to around 16 MB and is malware-free according to VirusTotal and Web of Trust.
The download is a zip file containing the setup for the software, and also the license code. Note that to avail this offer, you will have to install the software, and activate the license code before November 6th. Also, the product obtained via this offer does not support upgrade.
There's also a limit of 1000 free copies a day, so if there are no copies left on the day you try you can simply wait until the next day to get yours.

woops.. me bad.
Somehow I did not look in ALL the subdirectories created when I unpacked the zip file.
I found the text file.
It took 2 tries though for me to get it right.
The software installed after I figured out what I was doing wrong.
Just to make sure, I duplicated the process on 2 more pcs and they all took the install.
I am not able to install the free version of
WinX DVD Copy Pro.
I went to their webste and downloaded and unpacked it.
There is no text file after it is unpacked as the author states.
during install it wants you to buy the program or you get a unregistered copy.
No telling if it is a "trial period" program.
If this is really a FREE copy, more instructions are needed.
:(
Thanks guys. Just what I was looking for.
I like to save the vendor's web page(s) for later reading.
Is this the product -
http://www.winxdvd.com/dvd-copy-pro/
If so, it appears to create a 1:1 decrypted ISO copy (or to a DVD blank)
It does not appear to mention converting to smaller formats
Rob
PS I come here 'not to complain' as I never need to convert to smaller formats
So it is ideal for my purposes, thanks.
Maybe I'm missing something here. "The company's WinX DVD Copy Pro, which copies DVDs to all sorts of formats..." I only see DVD to MPEG 2.
Apparently this program is only free for 19 days. I have a countdown clock that says I have to buy for $19.95 to keep it after time is up. Am I missing something?

Don't know about you, but here is the page I got redirected to http://www.winxdvd.com/giveaway/halloween.htm Just click the brown window with the "Free" green tag and download the program. The licence comes with it in a txt.
The link I posted was after I downloaded and installed and registered it......If you click on the circle with arrows at top left and click center bar of that window you get re-directed....
Just a question: down the road if I have to reinstall the program will I be able to do it?
Or the possibility is gone after nov 6?
gone, gone, gone, jumping like a catfish on a pole!
It looks like you have to buy it to get a license code
Thanks, I had clicked the "download free" link
Giveaway Version doesn't support update.
