This category is reserved for finds by our Editor Rhiannon Dent.

Items should consist of at least two paragraphs.

The first should be a "teaser" paragraph. This paragraph will be automatically published in our RSS feed. It should state the nature of the find and the benefits without mentioning the product name or providing a product link. For example:

"For months I've been looking for a good way of deleting 'undeletable' files. Finally I've discovered a free utility that does the job reliably and simply."

The second paragraph should at the very least, expand the benefits, name the product and provide a product link. For example:

"Unlocker is a tiny 230KB utility that works with Windows 2000 and XP. Vista users are out of luck. Just right click on the 'undeletable file', select 'Delete with Unlocker' from the context menu and next time you boot the file will be gone for good."

You can have a third paragraph if you wish; indeed as many as you like. However there must at least be a second paragraph after the opening "teaser" paragraph.

Wallpaper of the Week: Winter Willow

This weeks wallpaper is an image of dark willow trunks and branches against a sunrise colored in soft hues of purple, orange, pink and yellow. The image is likely digitally enhanced or manipulated, but that doesn't detract from its impact. Icons show up pretty well on this softly colored yet dramatic wallpaper.

Wallpaper of the Week: Monochrome Water Lily

This week's wallpaper shows off a monochrome photo of a furled water lily bud on a platform of water-bedecked lily pads.
This is a great background for anyone who likes calm, even toned backgrounds with a small pop of brightness. Icons show up well in most areas of this wallpaper.

Wallpaper of the Week: Starry Night Mountain Mirror

This weeks wallpaper is a long exposure photo of the night sky reflected in a mountain lake. The solid black mountains surround a small lake with a blue starry sky above. An orange glow over the mountains adds a touch of warmth. This photo almost looks like a poster, with its sharp outlines and complementary colors, but some twinkling lights in seemingly far off valleys offset the effect. Icons do quite well with this background in most areas.

Wallpaper of the Week: New Year Fireworks

As 2016 draws to a close there will be celebrations (and sighs of relief) around the globe. Since so many countries celebrate the New Year with fireworks, this weeks wallpaper is a burst of fireworks on, of course, a night sky. Bursts of blue, white and green make up the major color palette in this image - the image has a nice clear focus, unlike so many images of fireworks that are blurry. Icons show up in a range of decent to so-so on this bright background, depending on where they are on your screen.

Wallpaper of the Week: Holiday Wallpaper Roundup

Holiday Wallpaper RoundupThis week I thought I'd present a few lesser known sites that have a good selection of seasonal holiday wallpapers. I haven't found any sites that have a good collection of wallpapers that represent all the holidays that occur during this time of the year, so most of the wallpapers have the usual collection of subjects.....snow, ornaments, lights, trees, etc.
