How to add or delete products from your reviews

toggle-button

 Deleting products

You can simply use the Drupal Editor to delete the unwanted products in the discussion section and delete the corresponding entry in the product details section.

Deleting the unwanted products in the discussion section simpy involves selecting the dummy text for the product (including the dummy image) and pressing delete.

Deleting the product from the product details table is a little more complex.  First click on the product. This will select the table containing the product. The table selection is indicated by the marker squares at the extremities of the table.

.

Now right click on the table and select "Delete table."

Adding a product

To add another product to the discussion section just click where you want the product to appear and type in (or copy and paste)  the discussion text.

You can then add the screen shot using the instructions here.

Adding an additional table to  the product details is perhaps the trickiest of all these operations as it involves some html editing.

First select and copy the following html code text

<!-- START: Select all the lines below this line up to and including the END marker -->

   <!-- #### BEGIN: Product 4 Details #### -->
   <tr>

            </tr>
         </table>
      </td>
   </tr>
   <!-- #### END: Product 4 #### -->

Now open your review in the Drupal editor and click the Source icon to switch to html mode.

Go the very bottom of the code and look for these lines:

   </tbody>
</table>
<!-- #### END: Details #### -->

Now click immediately before the </tbody> line and press enter to insert a blank line.

Now paste the code you copied above into the blank line.

Press the Source icon again to switch to WYSIWYG code.

Your new product details table should now be visible. Edit as required.

Linking the product name to the product details

Finally, you need to link product name in the discussion section to the the corresponding product in the product details section.

Creating internal links is a two stage process: first you need to create a bookmarks (AKA "anchor") at the start of the new product detail table. Then you need to link to this from the product name in the discussion section.

To create a bookmark, move your cursor immediately before the new product name in the product details table. Then click the Insert/Edit Anchor icon  on the Drupal editor toolbar. Give the bookmark a name; it can be anything: "1", "item1"  whatever but it's easier if you just use an abreviation of the product name such "antivir" or "firefox". Just remember that each bookmark on the page must have a unique name and the name is case sensitive.

When you have created your bookmark, highlight the product name in your discussion section that you want to use to link to the bookmark. Then click the Insert/Edit link icon in the Drupal editor toolbar.  From the Link Type drop-down menu select "anchor in the text."  Then use the pull-down menu "Select an Anchor by Anchor Name" to select the bookmark you want to link to. Click OK, and you are done.
