Here I'll show you how to download any High Definition (HD) Youtube video directly to your computer. This method doesn't require any software except for your web browser, and uses javascript to do so. It'll download in an mp4 format to avoid any conversion issues. i tried it and nothing for me also tried to change to 18 in stead of 22 still nothing. i always get it done with net video hunter, works on almost any url but i have to convert it and that takes other things as to use as well.
Realplayer i found to be the easiest and well yeah just download install and everytime i want something from youtube just click download
Yes, that one is good too... I have tried it. But, the problem is that you will have to install Real Player for it. If anyone uses Real Player, then its plugin is a good choice.

It's too bad. This doesn't work anymore. And keepvid is having problm too.
I have tried very many of these type of streaming downloaders and even purchased WM Recorder, and yes the many Firefox plugins. The best one for me has been the plugin that comes with Real Player. Yes it is considered a Firefox plugin. But you must know this goes far beyond You Tube. I have been able to get tons of videos from AOL and sometimes even Yahoo! lets a few slip through. I rarely use the Real Player although it is very nice.

If it doesnt work its because the video isnt available in 720p (1280x720 resolution).
Try changing the &fmt=22 to &fmt=18 before pressing enter on the vid.
Or, alternatively, use Firefox with one of the many (free) plugins that take care of this for you. :)

I tried with Firefox and with IE.
I couldn't get it to work.
It always tells me that the page cannot be found.
Hey I never thought that downloading Youtube videos could be so easy. When I really needed to download something, I finally always got successful by finding some third party apps that would do the job, but I always forgot the name of the app the next time I had to download a video again :) Hopefully I'll just bookmark this code and I'll never forget how to do it... I'm going to try your magickal method right away! Thanks for the tip!
