Anti virus scanners

vipre (sunbelt software) will not install in safe mode.

The admin has set policies to prevent the installation of this software.   I am trying to install VIPRE in safe mode but keep getting the message about policies.

Does anyone know of a good firewall that does not use much resources.

I had tried Online Armour. I liked it execept for the fact that it was heavy on resources.

Am in charge of our company’s windows network  (100 PCs on a single flat subnet, 1 server)

. . . and we are looking at which busness (corporate/enterprise/etc) antivirus package to go with.  We have been using Symantec Corporate Edition, but before renewing, I have been asked to review other packages.

hello everyone..

i own a pc which runs on windows "vista"..

i hav NOD-32 version 2.7 as my antivirus scanner..

but it lacks a suitable firewall and anti-spyware..no intrusion alert n all..

so can u recommend a freeware for VISTA tat has antivirus+antispyware+firewall..

Hi everybody,

I am havnig Avast 4.8 home edition on my sys.  Whenever i startup windows, it is showing a message as:Sign of "Win32:Trojan-gen {other} has been found in "C:\windows\Fonts\Framdee.ttf" file and Avast is asking me to delete it. 

I really don't have any idea about this virus and how can it affect my PC.

Reccomend an Av tool

Hi people I am looking to run an AV tool on at least 4 family computers 3 = xp  1 = vista

i would like to have real time protection and email scanner  we currently use a combination of Avast, Super Antispyware,spybot and comodo BOclean,but i still feel unprotected. I dont mind paying for something that will do the trick as long as it can be used on all pc's with one purchase, or a free one that will do the trick,any ideas
