Inkjet Printer Cartridges: Review of Mr Inkman

This company, according to the web site, is a division of Solomon Ink and Banner, a South Carolina based company.  And who are they?  I don't know as a Google search on that name revealed nothing.

However, judging from the Alexa web rankings, this site is very popular, indeed amongst the most popular of  the independent sites we reviewed.

This popularity is certainly not due to the web site design. It's positively garish.

And it's not due to navigability.  The search box yielded an error message on most of the searches I tried.

Undeterred, I clicked on printer make, next to those luminous flashing arrows!  I was presented with a long list of printer models and their appropriate cartridges.

No sooner had I done this when I discovered why this site is so popular.

It's cheap.  Not the cheapest mind you, but pretty cheap.

However ordering was messy.  Every time I ordered a cartridge I was taken to a new page. From there I had to navigate backwards to the original page.  No problem if you are ordering only one cartridge but a real pain  if you are ordering several.

Anyway, the  checkout was uneventful though I was a tad disappointed with the $3.50 shipping charge.  Not that this high, it's just that after the low cartridge prices, I'd hoped  the shipping would be super cheap too. Guess you can't have it all.

Well the goods arrived after 6 days. Pretty good for USPS these days.

Return was easy. I phoned and got an RMA with no questions asked. That's the way it should be. My account was refunded within two weeks of sending back the goods.

Overall, low prices with excellent service but you'll have to be patient with the web site which really needs a major overhaul.
