I was just reading the Anti virus section and noticed the last update was around two months ago. In addition, the last three pages of comments at least are unanswered by the volunteer. I made some suggestions myself but it seems to be silent?
Or do I just need to wait a bit?
It's just that the lack of activity seems weird.

Sorry, but I think you misread my original question. I asked that the page did not have much updates.
All signature programs (including anti-viruses) need constant updates to be effective. But if you have no internet connection, the only way you can get infected is by removable media.
Do you have another computer with internet connection? If not, you can't download applications in the first place.
You can get a behavioural blocker like ThreatFire, which requires less constant updates and run an occasional scan with DrWeb Cureit (it is portable and free).
Oh yeah, I also want a AV that doesn't need to update to be updated! Where do I find it?
It's not "weird", just careful.
It can sometimes take a while to satisfactorily test products and resolve user comments.
sorry, I was just curious. But i think posting a reply just saying it is being tested would be nice.
