Contact Manager
I'm a google lover but the contact manager in Gmail is very poor at everything but grabbing new email address.
I'm looking for an Address book or Contact manager that allows for multiple Email address for a person.
I want to capture information on contacts such as:
Full name
Personal address
work Address
Multiple phone numbers
Mulitple email address
Instant message contacts
Multiple URL pages (memo section?)
Multiple TAGs contact such as Professional, Work, Family, Friends etc.
allow for import and export in multiple formats.
I've tried outlook and thunderbird neither really hit the mark.
I don't need all the extra calendar stuff but ePIM doesn't cut it either.
this is an old discussion, but i'd like to say that Google Contacts has improved massively :)
I need a contact manager which works both in windows and linux so that interface remains same and i dont have to enter all the information twice or repeatedly import/export it.
I've been using Kurlo and it seems OK.
I don't think it's being developed though which is too bad because I can see some areas for improvement.
There's a known bug that needs fixing.
I'd like to see multiple contacts at a time.
a duplication module would be great.
Also it let's you map an address from yahoo or mapquest (which I think are the same now) but no option for google maps.
I've emailed the owner but no response yet.

You don't say why epim doesn't cut it. It is portable, fast, and allows you to add all the fields you asked for. What else are you wanting.
Info
I have had a look at some and the one that came out best was Kurlo. It gives everything you want and you can add more customised fields on. Also it is portable. You need to down load Java - http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_xpi.jsp?locale=en&host=www.java.... -
Thats if you don't have it already. The web site for the software - http://kurlo.com/
It has the feel of a Linux software, flat, pastel colours and uninteresting, but it does the job.
Hope it helps
Tony
Have you tried these?
