OpenOffice Calc problem

Since installing version 2.4 I have been unable to change cell colours with the fill button (or by any other means) any ideas?

by Anonymous on 24. May 2008 - 19:19  (1077)

I use OpenOffice too.

I don't know the answer, but...

You should try the openoffice web site/s where there is bound to be someone who will answer your question expertly - could even be the programmer who wrote the function (honest).

New calc doc

Select some cells...

Menu..."Format"..."Cells"...

Tab..."Background"

(Choose your desired colour)...

Click "ok"

De-select the cells (you selected at the start)

Hey presto, job done!

According to one of this site's editors:
"Gnumeric (http://www.gnome.org/projects/gnumeric/) is a somewhat better Excel replacement than OpenOffice Calc."
