Techsupportalert.com has just been moved: Expect a few problems
At 12.05 am on Sunday the 11th of May 2008 I cut over the old techsupportalert.com site to this new wiki style site.
For the few days you can expect some transitional problems. In particular:
- You will not be able to access the Premium Supporters' Area of this site (or the old site) until I manage to get it up and working.
- Some less popular pages may not be available on the site for a week or two. I'll gradually cut these over but it's a slow process.
In a few weeks everything will be sorted out so I ask your patience. You are not dealing with a big corporation here but a one man band with one pair of hands.
The benefit to all is a brand new site that allows you to find what you want far easier than the old site and a wiki structure that will ensure fresher content and higher quality.

UPDATE: The newsletter Premium Edition is now online. Login from the site using "Premium login" or use your old bookmarks / links to the Supporters' Area as they will still work
There are still some 404 errors for files on the old site I've yet to move but I'll gradually sort these out in the coming weeks.

Under the new style, there is a typo on the front page. Mutlimedia (sic) should be spelled "multimedia".
I'm having troubling finding the following article. Has it been moved over to the new site ?
2.4 Using a USB Drive as a Laptop Replacement
Regular contributor "Briard" takes a break from the world of Linux and instead explores the potential of Windows flash drive computing.

I'm afraid not.

Is there a way to get hold of the article ?
I think the article you're referring to appeared in "Issue 146, 21st June, 2007".
Unfortunately I don't think this text is hosted anywhere, right now. All I can suggest is that you contact the author "briard" by email. If you can't find his email address on site, you'll have to email me to get it.
Phew! I thought that this site was no more. I was just one here last night browsing through it.
Well I am glad to see that it is in fact not gone, but only changed :) I personally rely on some of the
information that i read here. keep up the superduper work!
Loving the new site already, glad to know that our little pet project is finally live! Looking forward to all the juicy feedback, and 'mostly harmless' feedback.
