Well I like the new site right now... what I don't like is new browser icon - I didn't like the older either - I think the yellow inside the "G" doesn't look good, neither the square background. So why don't you remove both the yellow and white background, and keep only the "G" ??? Just make it more simple.

by Anonymous on 16. December 2008 - 22:49  (11976)

I like it.

by Anonymous on 7. October 2008 - 1:15  (8790)

Nice format.

I can only imagine the difficulty in keeping all aspects of this site up to date due to the new and ever evolving software being introduced.

I have seen an interesting trend in malicious software being offered in the guise of security based software. I can only imagine the other nefarious intentions and scams the bad guys are contemplating.

Maybe the scam of the day section can be added in your navigation column?

by Anonymous on 6. October 2008 - 14:38  (8771)

Much nicer and easer to find what your looking for.

by Anonymous on 30. September 2008 - 20:54  (8515)

Awesome love the look makes things a lot easier to find!!!!!!!

by Anonymous on 30. September 2008 - 10:29  (8489)

nice look, though I find it more difficult to find programs than I did before.

by bettym on 29. September 2008 - 15:39  (8462)

The new logo is so cute!;D

by Anonymous on 29. September 2008 - 15:37  (8461)

I have been using this site for quiet a long time from where I downloaded a lot of useful programs. There is no doubt about the fact that the site as a whole is superb. New look it good But some slight improvements can be made...
1. In my company IE6.0 browser, it shifts the contents part to the bottom of the left pane levaing the right side compeletely empty.
2. As mentioned in some of the other posts, it would be good if you can bring the timestamp
3. It will also be a good idea, if the latest addition be placed in the homepage itself (without any direct links) so that regular users like me can always find changes easily.

Gizmo, Appreciate your efforts.

Gizmo rules. The other guys' (Windows Secrets) content doesn't even come close. Stop smothering us with your crap. Let Gizmo out!

by Anonymous on 26. September 2008 - 19:00  (8331)

Its simple and great

by Anonymous on 25. September 2008 - 15:54  (8284)

superb

by Anonymous on 24. September 2008 - 22:54  (8253)

I really like the new look. yes.

by Anonymous on 24. September 2008 - 19:09  (8242)

Why does this site focused on applications that run on Windows? The best free software runs on Linux. How about a section for desktop environments and a section for operating systems?

by Anonymous on 24. September 2008 - 12:56  (8226)

A very useful information is missing on the homepage.
I would like to see in a glimpse the 'last update timestamp' for each category,
same thing in the 'show me everything' section.
It's pretty useful to see if we're up to date on the most important sections for us.
It forces me to check each section if anything new appeared, which is gonna be boring pretty fast.
I know I could use the 'Most recent' section, but it would be a big + to have it on the homepage and it would not affect much this great new presentation.

The look is nice, the info well organized, you really deserved your place in my bookmarks.

All the best & long life to Gizmo

I like it much better than the old site, however, I still have fond memories of the older old site.

by Anonymous on 23. September 2008 - 17:37  (8200)

Fabulous work Gizmo team!
I want to thank you cause your site has helped me a lot and I love the new look of it, and "Show Me Everything!" made it just perfect!

by Anonymous on 23. September 2008 - 1:34  (8169)

I totally Enjoy your new version of your web page. Keep up the good work!

by Anonymous on 22. September 2008 - 16:12  (8155)

This site sucks. Information is old and useless.

by waterbirdx on 23. September 2008 - 2:36  (8172)

man that's harsh, i think this site is great!

by Anonymous on 21. September 2008 - 18:40  (8118)

Is this Gizmo Richard's new site? No way is it a touch on the old one! It is plainly not of his making and methinks someone has ben paid off! A pity really as the old site had a personal touch and this one is just another site with the same old info you can find in several other sites,
Mike

I like it, but I am just a little confused as to what, if any connection does this have with your new partner Windows Secrets &? Not really bothered because you can never have too much of a good thing, but at 75 you begin to feel things crowding in and I worry that when will you find juggling so many things at once and get from under. Try and keep it all up there until I shoot through!

Like the new site, but missing the big detailed page loads. I would always find something in there that interested me

by Anonymous on 18. September 2008 - 16:56  (7981)

The only negative about the new look is the long scroll. After clicking on the text links on the left side of the page, the next page is displayed near the bottom of the screen, which then results into a long scroll.

Other then that, it has a nice clean look to it.

by waterbirdx on 20. September 2008 - 21:08  (8075)

your friend, waterbirdx

i agree, same thing

by Anonymous on 18. September 2008 - 13:57  (7971)

I've been referring to this website for nearly 2 years by now. This is the latest and greatest look. Fully functional and easy on the eye...

by Anonymous on 18. September 2008 - 9:01  (7965)

Very, very good.

by kevintp on 18. September 2008 - 5:14  (7959)

No, I don't like it. I prefer the other one with the light brown(Gold) trimmings and borders. Some of the colors are neat on this one but I find it more difficult to navigate.

by wixsonce on 18. September 2008 - 2:19  (7955)

Like one or two others, the content page is far too wide for me to appreciate but other than that I really like it. It's a huge improvement.

by Anonymous on 17. September 2008 - 22:14  (7945)

I don't remember visiting your site until a couple of days ago but maybe I don't remember because the new site looks so different than the old one - I took a peek at it. When I first arrived at the homepage I thought Now, this is a great site. Look how clear the layout is and so easy to find the right place to search. So- I'm back again already. Very Nice and F.Y.I, I don't have the horizontal scrolling problem someone else mentioned.

by Anonymous on 17. September 2008 - 17:30  (7939)

The only thing I don't like about it is that it's too wide (horizontal scroll bars are a no-no and a pain in the tokus)... other than that, I like it...

by Anonymous on 17. September 2008 - 5:07  (7894)

I like this much better than the previous wiki look. This is so much cleaner and more professional-looking. It also seems easier to navigate.

by Anonymous on 17. September 2008 - 4:00  (7889)

Yes, I do like your new site.
It looks cleaner & seems better organized.
Well Done!

by Anonymous on 17. September 2008 - 2:27  (7885)

I really lije the new look of the site. much easier to find what you are looking for. Great job, Gizmo.

by Anonymous on 16. September 2008 - 23:42  (7882)

This is The place> One stop shopping for all your computer "problems".
The new Home page is much cleaner then the old and easier to Browse.
Enjoy.

I like the new appearance. My favourite (now you know I'm Canadian) area to visit is the Recent Posts. Does this include most Recent Articles too?

by mario837 on 16. September 2008 - 16:43  (7851)

After many months I opened the site today to find this excellent design and, as usual, the best pick of software. For instance, I was struggling with AVG and Avast until I found somewhere else Avira Antivir which is your current recommendation as well.
So, allow me to put in mi original language:
ESPECTACULAR!!!!!!

by Anonymous on 16. September 2008 - 16:30  (7849)

I like it because it gives my brain "warm-up" time. I can wait until the next page to start thinking in earnest. (I'm over 62 and really NEED that extra time.)

by Anonymous on 16. September 2008 - 14:28  (7842)

Well, it certainly has the WOW factor. But once past all the new glitz the navigation is slower. The old, simple list format was much faster to scan and find what I wanted. This is still the best resource site available for finding just the right utility software, so I will keep using it, even if it takes longer to find what I want.

by Anonymous on 16. September 2008 - 4:35  (7811)

i love it, it's clear, it's easy on the eyes,
the site is on my speed dial, when i'm looking for info on software, i go to Gizmo's

by Anonymous on 15. September 2008 - 23:54  (7802)

Awesome site and much better look you guys rock!

by Anonymous on 15. September 2008 - 20:15  (7786)

great site, at least it was, quite happy to subscribe to it, or at least was, but no longer want emails offering me discount software, if i unsubscribe i will lose the freeware stuff

by Anonymous on 15. September 2008 - 18:59  (7776)

way better than before

by Anonymous on 15. September 2008 - 18:53  (7775)

1000% better - much more professional and easier on the eye

by Anonymous on 15. September 2008 - 17:56  (7772)

nice

by saxter88 on 14. September 2008 - 23:57  (7733)

~~ Just Perfect ~~

by Anonymous on 14. September 2008 - 17:48  (7724)

Yes a very clean look and feel, not much chance of getting lost browsing around.

by Anonymous on 14. September 2008 - 17:47  (7723)

It looks simple and neat..

by Anonymous on 14. September 2008 - 14:29  (7720)

The only page I bookmarked.
