Mission Statement for Website Community Development Group

Coordinator:

Idea:

This group will formulate a plan to create a larger more involved website community. This includes both site editors and visitors.

When the plan is formulated, they will set milestone dates for implementation, and monitor and manage that implementation.

Scope:

Areas to explore include:

1. How to expand the number of category editors and to create on-going recruitment
2. Improved ways to manage the category editors
3. Making things easier for category editors
4. Providing more benefits and better motivatation
5. Ways to get more involvement from site visitors
6. Ideas to increase the number of returning site visitors

Time frame:

A draft plan needs to be completed by the 21st of September 2008.

Who should join

We are looking for people with ideas on the above topics who are prepared to spend 1-2 hours a week discussing and evolving these ideas. Those with a practical backgound in website community development and management are particularly welcome, but anyone with enthusiasm is encouraged to join.
