FileHippo's Update Checker (UDC)

im currently using it and i quite like it, it aint missed a update for me yet, it even lists my graphics drivers for nividia, i find it pretty usefull its easy and fast and does the job tiny file aswell.

Maybe I'm missing something with this UDC Update Checker but when I click on it after installing it - nothing happens !! Is it because I have Windows 7 - 64 bit ??

It could be that the FileHippo icon is hiding in your task bar. It does that on my XP machine. Unfortunately, I do not have access to Windows 7, so I cannot confirm your problem.

I like FileHippo's UDC on my other laptop but I can't seem to get it to run on this laptop. I can install it just fine but when I go to start it up windows comes up with an error saying that it has encountered and error and needs to close. I'm running Windows XP. What are some things that I can try to get it to run?

I've used this for quite a while, and have always loved it. But I too had a similar problem with it a few months ago. To be honest, I think I just did the normal R&R, with a ccleaner scan in between. It did run though, and something sticks in my head in regards to java, flash, and reader being patched several times in a relatively short period.

Lately though, I haven't been getting all that many updates, had a few last week or so. So I reinstalled PSI, but removed it almost immediately. (too intensive imo)
