Default Startup manager

"Soluto" seems like a fine product to be included in the list of startup managers now. While it is no where near as advanced as the ones listed in this site, it is by far one of the most user friendly one i've seen of late. (They were winners of techcrunch's disruptive technology competition http://techcrunch.com/2010/05/26/tec...winner-soluto/)

But anyway, once installed and restarted, soluto automatically times your startup time and then lists out not only the applications but also the native windows programs responsible for the boot-time. It provides recommendations whether to disable/ delay or to keep the applications in boot (and does it for you in one-click) and if that wasnt enough it also shows what the community says about the startup file.

Hope this makes it in the list of startup managers!

Default Soluto 1.0.743.0

After installing Soluto 1.0.743.0 on my system, Windows 7 X64 it worked perfectly. The only downside is the majority of applications belong to Windows system files and the other programs listed are ones I intended on running at startup. Therefore this tool works flawless and some may find it useful.

Soluto is a very good concept, specially works work for users who have lots a app's running in stat up...design wise its quiet a eye candy..thought computer which has a very short boot time, it actually slows down the process (remember its still in beta).
Anyways people who are more comfortable with computers would want to give a try to sysinternals programs which are more in-depth.

I consider apps to be the least of the problem. Disabling them is not a big problem. Services and drivers are. Is Soluto covering those?

A couple of Startup managers that are worth considering are :-

WinPatrol and Startup Delayer

IMHO WinPatrol would be the best choice by far as it's startup delayer is merely an additional feature to what is an excellent, lightweight and versatile security program.

Yes, I have used both WinPatrol and Codestuff Starter for years now and can't recommend them both highly enough.
