Why does this program not recommended anymore by this site. It was not too long ago. I have been useing it for a while now by finding it on this site. I had to reload it again and could not find it on this site. Any reason why it's not listed anymore.
Thanks |

Hmm, will have to repeat it again.
I think you are not aware of the IObit and MBAM issue which happened sometime ago. MBAM had accussed IObit of stealing their database, for their product IObit Security 360, and they had provided substantial proof about this. You can find more about this by searching on our forum for "IObit", or on Google. Because of the above issue, IObit lost their faith with the users, and now their site has an unsatisfactory rating on WOT. Because of the above reasons, TSA has removed all IObit products from the site, and we do not recommend their products anymore.

You do realize that not everyone follows the IOBit-MBAM story right? Heck, some people haven't even heard of these freeware alternatives yet as they are too busy using Norton or McAfee or some other commercial products. Why not put a sticky or a notice somewhere so that there will be no need to repeat this?

Ritho is right.
After all, people buy computers for the first time every day and when they first connect, maybe by some bad luck freak of nature end up here!I have parrots around the house all day so I'm quite happy to sound like one if it gets the stories out to where they need to go

We do indeed. We have humming birds in the garden and veranda every day because we put feeders out. There are very large lizards and spiders too which are not so welcome.

What do you guys think about CNET, Major Geeks, and other sites having IOBit products? Perhaps this is the cause of all the confusion for site visitors. Perhaps the automated response could address this, perhaps with language like "despite IOBit products appearing in many popular download sites, we want to wait to see the outcome of the recent disputes captured by ethical complaints on site advisers and certain articles x-y-z. We also don't sponsor Tiger Woods in case you wondered".
Humming birds aren't all that exotic I don't think! But spider-birds certainly are!
