Question So the verdict...

seems to be that registry cleaning is not so great after all, and especially not every month as some commercial sites suggest.

But does installing, uninstalling slow down system at all? I have tried Ashampoo magic, but it takes a while to take a snapshot. I have tried loads of software with no appreciable loss of performance, especially after a good defrag. Infact, since quadrupling my memory, the only real speed issues are my browser.

Moving on, other tune up tweaks: has anyone fallen on something like

TweakNow powerpack 2009
TweakNow windows secrets 2009

both from:

http://www.tweaknow.com/products.html

would products like this help system performance, internet speed, etc?

Any suggestions on the above and similiar products, and the best uninstallers?

Silly quacka lump!
