Default Java question

Hey all. This may be a stupid question, but do you uninstall previous versions of Java before installing a new update? I have been told by one person just to leave the old versions, but was reading today on MBAM forum and they were saying to remove all older versions and just install the new one. Thanks!

You don't need to have all the versions of the Java installed. You can uninstall the previous versions, and install just the latest one. In fact, I have noticed, the latest version of Java occupies less space than the previous ones. Also, the latest versions are more secure, and have many bug fixes. So, better to have just the latest one installed.

You can use JavaRa to uninstall previous versions, if you face any problems uninstalling them.
