I am currently reviewing a new desktop search tool. It's called Miner Mole and can be found at http://www.miner-mole.com. So far, I've been very impressed.
You can see my initial thoughts here: http://www.techsupportalert.com/best...#comment-74821 It is incredibly fast with lots of options. Keep in mind that it doesn't appear to be able to search within files, but it is as quick or quicker than Locate 32. It also apparently can search Outlook emails, though I haven't got that to work yet on my work computer. I'd be interested in other people's thoughts.....

As a follow up, I've been working with the developer to get the Outlook email indexing to work with Microsoft Exchange Server and with pst files stored on network drives.
Well, we got it working today! Miner Mole does do an index of your folders within Outlook and allows you to search these folders very quickly. As I indicated earlier, this is a very fast search program and can index large amounts of files and folders very quickly. Search results are almost instantaneous. Very impressive. (I know and realize that my mention of Outlook is referencing a commercial program. However, for anyone who ever needed or wanted a way of quickly searching through a large amount of email, this might be one of the only or best freeware solutions available. Thus, my mention of the software.)

There is no issue here as you are not promoting, recommending, or reviewing Outlook. Given your comment I can safely assume that you aren't getting any financial benefit from mentioning Outlook.

Site policy is to adopt a less stringent attitude to the "mention" of commercial software wherever possible.
Unfortunately, there are certain trigger words/phrases which are used by spammers and will likely be picked up on by same if included in posts here. Only us guys on the front line for this stuff are aware of the true extent of how it affects the site and naturally we're not about to reveal this, or our strategy for dealing with it, in public. Suffice to say we spend enough of our time dealing with it, and if it looks attractive for the wrong reasons it will be edited or removed.

MC, thanks for the info as I won't be offended if it happens to me.
My big concern has been about the impact of mentioning "p*rn" in parental filtering category.
