Here is a new contender to enter into the file explorer replacement arena:

Enjoy!

The product has a free version besides commercial ones, and the comparison chart is here :

The free version seems crippled to me, but its upon the users to decide if they want to use it. Anyone who does give the software a try, please share your opinion with us.

uman, I have changed the link to the products page, instead of the downloads page. If you have a software suggestion, please provide link to the product page, so that users can read about the software, and decide if they want to use it.

Lightbulb What about UltraExplorer ?

UltraExplorer hasn't been updated in a while, but to me it is the best file manager.

And I consider myself a PC enthusiast (I deal with a lot of files and like to keep my file system more organized than my room).

It has many productivity features (like the box in which you can drag-collect files and folders from different locations and do operations with them as a group later - which to me lowers the chance of losing my selections by mis-clicking in the background), most of which can only be found in other managers' commercial versions only (e.g. explorer2).

Another thing very important to me which UltraExplorer doesn't miss either is customizability - it has almost all of the customize features I need.

Also, the two-pane view is optional, filters, search, mass-rename, tree-view, zip-archives browsing, original Windows Explorer context menu when right-clicking files/folders, and it resembles the Explorer interface.

All in all, very productive (I use the folder tabs and sometimes even enable the two-pane view to move/copy from pane to the other by clicking the appropriate button in the middle)... too bad it is no longer maintained.
