You know how useful Windows event logs can be when diagnosing problems? Well I got to thinking it'd be nice if I could receive notification of certain events so that I might spot an issue before it has chance to develop into something more problematic. (I guess most people have encountered that scenario where a disk goes belly up and you find disk errors have been logged for the past week!)
I found "EventLog Inspector" by snmpsoft. It's free for non-commercial use, allows notification via popups, syslog forwarding and/or email and it allows you to customize exactly what you want to be notified of. It's exactly what I've been looking for - and I thought some of you guys might find it useful too. Website : http://www.snmpsoft.com/eventloginsp...tlog-tool.html Cheers Darren |
