Default Hello? Can you hear me now? - Freeware internet phone.

Freeware internet phone.

Homepage: Loudtalks Lite

Loudtalks Lite is a push-to-talk application for Windows and Windows phones.
It's lightweight, easy to use and extremely fast.
Better yet it's free and will always remain free for personal use.

Loudtalks Lite supports public channels, where you can talk up to 100 people from all parts in the world simultaneously.
Check out the public channels available at the moment (you can create the one yourself too!).

(Requires microphone, speakers or headphones.)

(Note: Loudtalks Cloud apparently is free for up to 10 users with free registration and a private network. Loudtalks Cloud

Quote:

"Use Loudtalks Cloud to establish your private and secure push-to-talk network in just a few minutes.
The service is free for up to 10 users in your network.
Just register a network, add users, download client software and start talking!
No server hardware or software investments are required.")

When people say "phone" I now expect to call a phone with the internet.

I was a bit sad when I realized this freeware service is only free for internet calls, not phone calls. ;(

O.k. "Googling' with keywords "free internet phone" came up with about 150 million hits.

One of them is: Quick Start VOIP dot Com

"If you want to try internet phone services but don't want to make commitment to one VOIP company, then try VOIP for free.
Most free internet phones let you call other users of the same service for free.
This is called free PC to PC calls.
It's easy to set up. Just join the service yourself, and then invite your friends and family to do the same.
What most people don't know, is that other services allow you to make free PC to phone calls.
In other words, the person you're calling is on a regular phone or mobile phone."

There's about a dozen listed services.
