I almost can't believe that I'm writing this post.
As many of you have read in various other posts, I'm without my main computer for the next couple of weeks and am forced to use an OLD computer (WinXP). Still others of you may be aware that I am a die-hard Roboform fanatic. This computer was last used by my daughter and it already had Roboform installed on it. However, she was using the free version, so she only had like 10 passcodes/passwords saved. I, on the other hand, have several licenses for Roboform Pro. So, I exported all my passcodes/passwords from my old computer (saved on an external HD) and imported to my daughter's old computer. 191 of them in fact! What I forgot, is that this computer doesn't have a Pro license. Thus, the free version won't accept or allow me to use my passcodes/passwords. And, there is no sense in me paying for another license for a computer that will hopefully go back into storage in a couple weeks. So, I was kind of stuck. So, I decided to download and install LastPass just to check it out. Well, I have spent literally less than 30 minutes with LastPass and I have to say that it is GREAT! In less than 5 minutes, I had imported ALL my Roboform passcodes/passwords (yes, all 191 of them!) and my identity information. From installation to importing all my passcodes, it probably took me 10 minutes; max. I've spent the last 20 minutes playing around with LastPass. I have to say that it is pretty slick! (And, yes, Anupam, LastPass does support Google Chrome! That's next on my download list to try out.....) Within my family, I think we have a total of 5 Roboform Pro licenses. I'm beginning to think that I don't need them. I have recently used Roboform's online feature (you can access your passcodes via Roboform's website) since I couldn't get Roboform to actually work on this computer. However, LastPass has the same type of thing! You can access your LastPass information (including all your passwords) online via their site. The only thing that I can think of that LastPass doesn't have (at least I haven't found it yet) is something similar to GoodSync. GoodSync allows me to sync my work Roboform passcodes/passwords with my home passcodes/passwords so I can access both sets of them via GoodSync. All in all, I'm very impressed with LastPass! It's well worth checking out.

Great to hear kendall, that you found an alternative solution for RoboForm. Alternatives were always there, but you did not give any other software a chance
. Gizmo had posted an article on LastPass long back, as an alternative to RoboForm.Yes, LastPass extension is available for Chrome, and Iron. I had seen it in the list yesterday .Well, sometimes good things happen, when your favorite software is not working, for some reason. Firefox 3.6 is having a security vulnerability, because of which, I decided to try out other browsers until the patch is released. I had tried Iron earlier, but it used to crash often then. This time again, I gave it a try, and I also discovered that now many extensions are there for Chrome, and Iron. So, its great. Good to read your post. So, you are gonna stick with LastPass now, and say goodbye to RoboForm, or you gonna use both? Or you are gonna use RoboForm till the license expires.

One of the nice things about Roboform is that you have actual "files" that are your passcodes, so you can save those files onto an external HD. With LastPass, I'm not sure that is the case. I'll have to check into that when I get home tonight. Quote:

Here is an extensive review of LastPass on LifeHacker. Hope you will get some useful information from there :
http://lifehacker.com/5483119/the-ea...sword-solution About Chrome, yes its fast... and it seems less bloated than Firefox. You use Firefox, you just kind of feel heavy, and you use Chrome, and it feels light. I have been using Iron, and you can call it a Chrome clone, not much of a difference. I have observed that Iron uses more memory than Firefox, for a given number of tabs. Each tab is considered as a process by Iron/Chrome, and because of that fact, sometimes Iron uses extensive memory, so much so that CPU usage rises a lot, and things start to slow down to a crawl. I never experienced that with Firefox. But yes, definitely Chrome has it in it... and I can see why its share is rising continuously.

.Don't know what you are talking about. If the problem persists, please post about it in the Editor's Forum, with a screenshot.
