Just wanted to let people know about Gygan. Gygan is by far the fastest file sharing app on the internet.

You can upload any file size, and get unlimited free storage.

The download and upload speeds are always unlimited.

Check it out at gygan.com

WOT shows no rating at all. That worries me a little. Dr. Web scan shows the file as clean.

Its a new site, and program... that maybe the reason for no WOT rating. But, what troubles me is this page :

http://www.gygan.com/rewards/

From reading that, I think we can expect Gygam spams in future. I do not like the look of whats on that page.

What's wrong with Windows Live Sync?

It's free and it's never complained about file sizes?

I can share a folder on one PC, and then link everyone else to that folder. So if one person changes something on their PC, it updates the folders on all our PCs.

You can quickly see how that kicks some serious butt for file sharing.

Notice that this is Vpet's one and only post in this forum and it's for a pay service, even if you do get a sample amount of free usage. The word that comes to mind is SPAM. (Or, maybe, Anupam put the idea in my head. Get out of my head, Anupam!)

Pretty much any file hosting service offers some free space, to attract people to the superior pay service.

The moderators had discussed this when this was first posted. We looked into the features, and we found it OK to let this one stay. The free version has a restriction that 4 GB can be downloaded in first month, and only 1 GB in later months. For general usage, I think that is just OK.

Yes, it is a single post, and obviously done to promote the site, but well, there are other such posts by vendors wanting to promote their software. If this had been repeated more than once, we would have banned the member, and deleted the thread. In terms of spam, we can assure you, we keep a close watch, and we are ruthless about it.

1Gig/month after the first month. That makes this one of the most useless file hosting services, as far as free goes. Many free hosts allow many times that.

Gygan also apparently makes you download and install a frontend, the "app", limiting its usefulness for sharing files with people who don't want to download an app. With many file hosting, you just share a link for others to download.
