Default A free alternative to laptop mouse

Hi,
The main difficulty is when switching from a desktop to laptop is the absence of a mouse. It is really painful to access most common functions we access in desktop using a mouse with a touch pad in laptop. CoolKeys is a mouse replacement software, which helps us to do these activities using keyboard shortcuts. Following are some of the features of the softwares,

1)Create New folder
2)Change folder views
3)Open/File/Folder/Internet links
4) Control System Volume
5) Open Control Panel Items
6) System Restart/logoff/shutdown

Apart from that software also lets you make a window semi transparent which helps you to refer the background window without minimizing or resizing the foreground window.

The other features include hide unlimited windows using keyboard shortcut.

The software also comes with plugins for internet explorer and firefox which lets u add internet links to the Coolkeys right from your internet browsing software.

The software also installs a shell extension which helps you to add files and folders into the CoolKeys application in a breeze . You just need to right click a file from explorer and select ‘Create Coolkey…’ to get the job done.

Isn't the virtual Keyboard in Windows enough as a replacement (atleast to write some text etc.)?

I use nothing but laptops and using a mouse does not cause a problem with any laptop I've had, does not interfere with the touchpad, so I see no reason why it isn't easier to just connect a mouse to it. Most people I know do the same and they also have no conflict with the touchpad.

The only time I don't have a mouse connected to my laptop is when using it for only a couple of minutes in airport terminals.
