Software Suggestion Rules

Hi all,

we thank you for your interest in our site and in offering suggestions to more Freeware. But before you post a suggestion here in the forum or in the comment section of an article, please make sure you follow these rules.

Non-compliance will result in the deletion of your post !

Rules for Software Suggestions:

1) Must be Freeware
Make sure that the product you suggest fits in one of the following freeware categories:

• Unrestricted Freeware
• Restricted Freeware (less features than commercial version)
• Educational Freeware (free for students, seniors and similar groups)
• Private Use Freeware (free for private use, must be purchased for commercial use)
• Limited Time Freeware (one of the above for a limited time, indicate time window)
• Open Source Freeware (free software incl. source code)

2) Software must support English language

3) When you provide links

• Link to English sites only! (If your product is only available through a non-English website and you feel it is such an amazing piece of free software, indicate that in your post so one of our editors can check it out. We cannot guarantee that this is done promptly though. Give us some time.)
• Check the site at WOT (http://www.mywot.com/). Only links to trusted sites are allowed!
• Do NOT(!) provide links to files directly. Only link to the download page of the hoster or the description page of the software.

4) What does it do

• Provide a brief description of what the freeware does.
• If available, provide information how your product compares to the ones we have listed already in the corresponding category
• If you can, refer to other references of your product
• Indicate if the product nags in any way (spam mails, advertisement, nag screens)

These rules are subject to change without notice. Make sure, you check them each time before you post a suggestion.
