How has Spotify not appeared on Techsupportalert yet? it's SO good! It lets you listen to music for free, has a huge music library of most of the popular songs at the moment, and lots more besides, it's free, legal, and supported by ads because about every 15 minutes, there is a 30 second audio ad, and there are also visual ads in the program itself when you're playing your music or looking for music, but no-one really looks at the player when its playing, so its just that small ad, which isn't really annoying at all, this program is simply amazing! i recommend all wanting to get music for free but can't afford it all visit the website: Spotify
edit: sorry, didn't see that other forum to suggest new software, can an admin move this thread over to that forum? |

Just went to check Spotify out. Unfortunately, it is not available in the US.

Well, I'm not sure about it I've just uninstalled it as my speakers would only work when I log on to Spotify and the MP3s on my computer wouldn't play.
I think it is OK if you are having a party and select a whole list of music to play through the evening but it wants to have too much control for my liking.

it's very new, so it won't play files on your computer, but I'm in the UK, so I just went to the website, downloaded it, and i've been using it ever since, and they're making an iPhone app for it as well, so it can be more portable, it's very good for me, because it means i don't have to spend loads of money buying CDs or use Gnutella to get illegal MP3s
