The message I was trying to convey is that creating an Ultimate Boot CD, regardless of the detailed documentation that is available, is not an easy task and one that might be beyond some of our readers.
I have been creating PC boot media, most often from scratch, since it was first possible to do so. Creating a UBCD is well within my capabilities thank you very much.

Dre,
thanks for posting this. Jeez, I nearly forgot about this great tool. I used it quite often a long time ago. I think we all agree that it is not a beginners tool. I think it's good to have it posted here. People who are interested can surf to that site, read about it and decide whether they wanna try it or not.

Takes few minutes to "create" since only an ISO ready to be burned. Making use of tools is another matter. But just posted to say forum has link to much much newer version. Still beta but official is getting old really fast. Tons of updates so I would think latest beta is more "stable" than final
Check out beta 12, as of today, http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=7Perhaps difficulty is adding tools to this one? I believe you can make your "own". Probably not for everyone. Forum should have details, lots... |

Ah, you talk about Windows version of Ultimate Boot CD - yeah that is something else. I was thinking Bart-PE but about the same. Ultimate Boot CD mention UBCD4WIN on front page:

The Windows version is called WinPE (WIndows Pre installation Environment)
BARTPE i also used for quite some time, it's the ultimate for doing stuff from scratch because of the 32bit environment. Like the Win32.exe command, so powerful for installing your O.S...

I think some post to illegal torrents/downloads were removed and context got complicated
![]() But hmm, UBCD4WIN is the free and legal Windows alternative as a magic toolbox. BartPE as a cousin. MS have dumped free Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset 5 and gone all business with this great tool https://www.microsoft.com/windows/en...p/default.aspx Now DaRT https://www.microsoft.com/windows/en...mdop/dart.aspx not even sure normal people can buy, Technet or business only I guess.
