TeamViewer is good. Try it. Its simple.
Crossloop is another.

I have to agree. I used it with my mother earlier this week to assist her with a problem with her computer. One of the nice things is that you don't necessarily have to install it; just run it once. It's secure and can connect you to a remote computer to assist someone else or just to your own computer to control it remotely.

Even my mother figured out how to use it with me guiding her over the phone.
