Updated via windows update on Win7 64-bit. Was as smooth an update I've ever seen from an AV. After download, install was started and finished within 20 seconds, no restart needed.

Kudos to MS!

Wow, that felt strange. I really feel MS have finally provided a piece of software I am happy with and not feel the need to not look for a non MS alternative.

Just got an updated version of MSE via WU to version 4.1.522.0.

Update is KB2754296. Installed it, a re-boot was required. No problems on re-start, everything is running fine - this machine is XP Pro 32 bit.
