Cool Watch out for fake un-installers

Sirs,
In case u didnt know, be aware that some uninstallers are just a cheap trick to inject malware.
I know cos the following sites:

perfectuninstaller, mightyuninstnaller, unistallgenius, freeuninstalltools and uninstallhelp.

Are offering uninstallers for some of my apps that are completely portable and dont even touch a single byte from the users' PC, so the fact that they are promoting such software is "shady".

stay frosty

Thanks for the tip.

Anyone using WOT will see that the sites of these software are red rated, and therefore not safe for use.

this has been around for a while, i just dont understand why people use them myself :S

all programs that you are installing should be easy to uninstall via window's uninstaller or it's own uninstaller... if either of these are unavaiable then I'd question the program itself and not use it :S

part of why i like portable apps "installed" on hdd, so I can press delete and its gone, easy to "uninstall"

True, although sadly only applicable to a minority of users.

Yeah, that's the sad part.

Watch out for those programs that are supposed to "Find Drivers" - Also, stuff from "UniBlue" - They try to bundle that stuff with IMGBURN now, and it's all bad!
