Hi Guys,
I have search for recommended setting for Sygate Free Firewall all over the internet, but did't find any useful tips. My current system as follows - Pentium 4 - 3.00GHz / 512 MB RAM / 128 MB Graphic Card / Windows XP SP 3 / SRware Iron / Sandboxie Free / MABM / SAS / Hitman Pro / Peer Block / Hostman / Did I miss anything ? So, for above mentioned system I prefer Sygate type Firewall but I don't have any Idea of it's setup for surfing online. Is there any guidelines for it? any recommendations for it ? This will help with the basics for Sygate.
http://bellsouthpwp.net/i/k/ikpe/SygateBasics.html Remember to un-check the default "act as server" settings for those applications not requiring this, which is most of them.

Thanks for advice! I do known that Sygate or Sunbelt or Keiro Firewalls were OLD ones, but these firewalls (as I say, in my opinion) do wht they have to do - Protect from Inside and Outside; No flashy added other components like HIPS or Sandbox and more importantly they aren't heavy on system resources and users mind too!
As far as they are not supported and developed.....well these are old fashioned pure Ruled Based firewalls and hence I don't think they have to be supported neither developed (correct me if I am wrong Midnight). Quote:

Despite the date, the page I linked to covers most of what's needed other than Googling for the PDF user guide and working things out from that. How you might want to configure yours for individual programs is up to you, but the defaults are fine so long as the "act as server" permission is removed.

Thanks Anupam. Please, next time if you have a second, tell me post was deleted so I can stay helping this user by PM. I know it's me who should pay attention to what I linked to, but sometimes just get distracted.
