Red face Comodo Keeps shutting down wireless connection

Hello...Perhaps someone has an answer or another security recommendation. This is a new install PC with relatively few programs as it was a free refurbished PC for a class I took. Libre Office, Java, Adobe reader, Firefox (my preference) and IE, plus Windows Media player are the basics. In this home we have one router and two PC's mine running off a Ralink Wireless G PCI card with an antenna.(updated Driver)

I use Windows Firewall and have the free Comodo AV and Defense. Comodo definitely seems to have some issues, but trying to get answers from them is impossible. The PC came with Secunia installed, but I took it off as I has having to do updates several times, sometimes in one day. Comodo is almost as bad, and as I don't have anything automatically updated until I see what it is, it slows me down.
The main problem is that as far as I can detect, Comodo in running it's processes, is constantly disconnecting my wi-fi connection, every time I go to a new site, click on a link, start another program etc., even though I have it set in the midrange, and Ralink is a trusted app. It disconnects me maybe for 30 seconds, and then it comes back up. It even sandboxed some of it's own application requests as "unknown"!! I have the router connection saved as a profile with the password in Ralink. It's WPA-PSK, AES encrypted, with excellent link quality and signal strength. I never had this happen before, as I've been using the card for 1 1/2 yrs on another computer I had, but had different Security programs. I have Ralink running the wireless program, not Windows, and thought maybe it was a setting in Ralink, but don't know enough about that arena to change anything.

I am a fairly low risk client, I don't go to cracks sites, play games, do social networking or download hardly anything. I use the PC for lots of email (with caution) and for doing online reading and research. So...if someone out there has some help to offer, I'll be listening. I would like AV protection of course, and some real time online help as well. It seems I spend much too much time updating, between Windows, Java, Firefox and especially Comodo ( I get a ton of false update notices from Comodo). Thanks so much, I need to reduce my stress level.

I'm no techy, but I can follow anything with direction, but prefer not to have to mess with a lot of settings, and have the program recognize what I already have as safe. This is not some big powerful PC with tons of space either. Simple is good.

In my opinion, Comodo is way too OTT and demanding for the risk level you describe. If this is Windows 7, I would stick with Windows firewall, change my DNS to Norton, make sure you have the WOT extensions for your browsers and install AVG free instead

If you are not happy with Comodo, you can change it, and use a different antivirus. You can use AVG free as suggested by MC. There are other good antivirus too. You can see some suggestions here :

Avast, Avira, MSE are also good.
