Default pum disabled.....

dear sir/madam, please forgive me i will try to explain generically, i went to a site yesterday, and my computer was bombed back to the stone age. the site is a familiar site to me and is nothing more than a copy of a resume.
mbam went crazy, and before i could think it was all over, nothing left on my computer. i started over from scratch, and when i downloaded mbam again i had captured 2 things "pum" disabled s.e. a/v and all program files were gone, startup was gone all before i could think. i saw mbam just before it went wherever things go, and i counted 8 trojens, something virus and there was more. upon getting this thing back on line i downloaded mbam again and found that 2 things were still there, ......"pum". if it disabled my a/v and mbam, then removed them completely i need something to prevent this re-occurence. im an old guy that has no malicious intent (left all my malice in vietnam) in the computer world, i dont go to what i think could harm anything. you folks are the upcoming future and i now require some help from person(s) who understand how or what i need to do for security. thank you all in advance,

Thumbs up pum disabled

Try "Tweak.com-windows repair" and "unhider" this one put My Documents back on for me. Checking things out,,will try to get back soon!!!!
http://www.tweaking.com/content/page...ll_in_one.html
http://softdesigner.com/unhider

[edit] Links included which presumably are to the products you intended?

Please always post links for the benefit of other members, especially as a misspelled or misdirected search (tweak.com as opposed to tweaking.com) could lead folks to an undesirable site.

bear with me im sure i,ll need help in the future, i,ll get better. you folks get *****stars from me for putting a site up that a novice like myself can use. heres the info that created the incident.

i googled "hma resume for bo* appl*by" and when i opened it i was helpless, i have been there before with no problems, not this time.
