Avast Web Shield may be causing your problem. Try the website with it disabled. You can even uninstall it without affecting the rest of Avast, but the Avast forum should give a better solution.

Thanks J_L. Yea, I could disable the web shield, or maybe, network shield, but then, I would loose the benefits of the shields which I don't want.

I think the problem might not be related to Avast, because I am now trying out Avira on another hard disk, and the same problem is occurring. The problem is somewhere else.
