Default PC Tools Firewall 7.0.0.123

There is a new version of PC Tools Firewall out now... version 7.0.0.123. Its after a long time that the firewall has been updated. There are no details of the changes so far, on the webpage, or their forum. Should be available soon. But, the latest version is available for download... if anyone is interested.

Yes, its new. The last version that was released was 7.0.0.111. When it was released, that time too, the same release date was being shown... so its an error for the wrong release date being shown. But, the version is latest.

Also, there is no mention of the latest version on their forum yet. So, they have not yet updated about it in the forum.

Installed PC Tools Firewall today.... the latest version. Running very well alongside Avast 6. I noticed that HIPS has been enhanced in this version. The popups contain much more description, which is really good.

Its running light, without slowing down the system. I had PC Tools Firewall earlier too, and its the firewall which has stayed the longest on my system. I had stopped using it, because I thought it was giving me some problems, but the problem was somewhere else.

I tried different firewalls in between like ZoneAlarm, Private Firewall, but sadly, ran into some troubles with them. Was without a firewall for a long time.

I am back to PC Tools Firewall, and I think I will be keeping it.

I see that the link to the free PCTools firewall in the Best Free Security List links to PCTools Internet Security now. Should the link be changed to point to their forum sticky where the direct link to FWinstall is http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthr...se-of-PCTFW-v7 ?
