I received this notification today which may be of interest to some of you guys and ladies here:
I wanted to notify you that Trustware is opening the registration for the BufferZone Pro beta version that includes support for 64-bit Windows installations on March 28,2011 (9:00 am PST). 64-bit compatible means that BufferZone Pro beta is compatible with Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit and Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit in addition to its Microsoft Windows 32-bit compatibility. This support enables BufferZone Pro customers to migrate to newer 64-bit versions of Windows so they can take advantage of the 64-bit capable processors on newer PCs while still enjoying the free protection offered by BufferZone Pro. To register for the beta program or for more information, visit www.trustware.com/bufferzone_beta The full press release can be found at http://www.trustware.com/index.php?m...t01returnid=56

I am using BZ pro but I can't say if it's better or worse than sandboxie. I am currently running BZ with Private Firewall and I have just recently installed MSE and all of them seem to work well together. Previously I was using Geswall but I just couldn't get it to work with Private Firewall and so I eventually dropped Geswall. However when I eventually graduate to win 7 or beyond down the years when XP finally dies, I probably will invest in sandboxie paid version. But then again I will probably be too old and senile to really care what's on the this machine by then.

@kendall: I haven't tried it yet, because it wasn't 64-bit compatible. Unless it has all the settings of Sandboxie (exclusions, restrictions, etc.), I wouldn't like it better.
I might try this beta on my virtual machine, but not on my real system. |

This is my understanding since the wording says "continue to enjoy the free something or other".... can't double check because I'm getting the bandwidth notice too
![]() I've mailed the developer about site access and I'll confirm the "free after beta?" bit with them as well. The only slight doubt I have is if they will make new users pay for the x64 but allowing existing free customers to upgrade.

As of this very moment they are fixing the site access issue, and they have also confirmed that the new version of BufferZone will remain free for all users.
