Iuse Avast anyi-virus now and it has been very good, but I read an articile
about the percentage of threats these programs catch. I was looking at a program called AD-Aware and I was wondering if there would be any advantage to runnning this program along with Avast. I have alot of kids on this computer and they go to places that are questionable. I am just tring to make sure I catch any threats that might cause me harm, according to the article I read Ad_Aware is rated very well. I'm Looking for more protection against spyware, malware, adware and so on. They say most of these programs only catch about 50% of of problems so I thought by adding this to it might catch a little more possibilities of problems. I also heard that you are not suppose to run more than one at a time. So my question to you is will helpme or will it harm me? Also the program is free, so would you please advise me if this is a good idea. Or if you know of a better way to add protection afew helpful hints would be greatly appreacated. Thank You and have a happy holidays! Jeff Miller Last edited by kendall; 27. Dec 2010 at 04:53 AM. Reason: email address deleted |

Jeff delete your email, it s not safe to post it in forums. In my opinion adaware
wont help you and it will conflict with Avast so I don't suggest you install it. Take a look at this list of security tools, you might find some that may help you. Read and learn about the ones you want to install before you install them. http://www.techsupportalert.com/cont...list-world.htm I suggest you look at Sandboxie for real time protection and Malwarebytes for scanning. http://www.sandboxie.com/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php Bo |
