Bo, I'll wait, that's the way I've done it in the past. When I check for the upgrade via the program it says I'm still using the latest version, and it usually takes a while for them to push out the upgrades so I'll just let it run it's course until it's my turn - then hopefully it'll upgrade itself without having to download the new version manually. No rush for me.
I'll just keep watching for now and see how it goes. |

Just for anyone who's using MSE and who might be unsure what to do about the upgrade, I found this.
It gives a bit more detail about the new version, how to install it, and also describes how the upgrade works, if you're already using MSE that is. |

I uninstalled MSE 1.0 from my XP SP3 machine last night and did a thorough clean to remove leftovers from MSE 1.0.
Installation of MSE 2.0 did not go smoothly. It finally did install, but I could not update the signature files. I had to manually download and install them. They did not install correctly on the first try. I rebooted and tried to install them again manually and got a partial install done. Another reboot and I started MSE 2.0 and tried to update through the program. The signature files finished downloading. Just getting the signature files updated took me over an hour. The Quick scan ran fine from my administrative account, although it took 30 minutes to complete. I tired running another quick scan from a LUA and MSE locked up my machine. I had to do a hard shutdown by pressing and holding in the power button. I restart the machine and the Quick scan ran to completion on the LUA. On the LUA, both the Sandboxie Control try icon and the MSE icon kept dissapearing, but both processes remained active in task manager. It took me over 2 hours to get MSE installed, updated, and running. Bottom line is that I agree with Bo. Wait until the program update comes to you and maybe the installation and signature update will go smoother. Again, I was very close to uninstalling MSE 2.0 and going back to Avast just because the Avast installation, setup and signature update is flawless on my machine. We'll see how MSE 2.0 behaves over the next few days. Is anyone noticing the different color scheme for the MSE 2.0 interface?
