I would say more ongoing as opposed to old with the stats highlighted in the BBC article being as recent as last month.

It is more of an ongoing thing, heard it on the radio this morning and it's in some of the newspapers here. Maybe because it's coming to the time of year when more people use online shopping etc. The more people who are made aware of it the better.
