Thumbs down Firefox add-in: (WOT)

I've recently noticed that when I hover over the WOT icon (with a magnifying glass icon beside it) it doesn't automatically display the site rating. Personally I don't find the viewer option useful and don't want to have to click on the WOT icon to see site rating.

Which mode did you choose when you installed it? Basic, Light, etc. For me when I hover my mouse over a link rating it instantly gives a rating without any need to click. See screenshot.

Or are you talking about something different?

Like Ritho, I too see the WOT ratings, when I move my mouse over the icon. You don't get that? And where is the magnifying glass coming from? Do you have any extension responsible for that?

Go to WOT settings, and see if the Pop-up setting has the checkbox checked. If its unchecked, check it. That should start to show you the ratings on mouse over.

"Show ratings for search results in a pop-up window" is checked. The fact that I view something differently than others does concern me.

I might go onto a WOT forum to see why this is happening.

I've discovered the icon I see is the Google reading pane. I've been doing a search to find out how to remove it and not having any luck.

Oh OK, so that's where its coming from. But, I am confused as to why you are getting that icon. I don't see it here on my browser. I have Xmarks extension, and I get its star icon instead of the magnifying glass. I disabled Xmarks to see if the magnifier icon would be visible, but its not.

But, should the magnifier icon affect the WOT popup? I don't think it should.

I'm totally confused about how it got there in the first place, but most importantly how to REMOVE it.

When I did a search, I only noticed references to a review pane on the "left side" on the Google homepage not the "right side" as I view it.
