Default All about Sandboxie

A new version is out. For people already using Sandboxie, you can do a
over the top installation if you don't want to wait for updater. I never
want to wait so I always do it over the top and works great.
For people not using it, try it, its easy and it works. Sandboxie makes
your Internet experience more enjoyable/safe.

im using this too, works fine and i like how it selects defaultbox for the run sandboxed click.
Since I had to manually edit registry I already had this but still nice to see it does it for you

This is one of the changes for this version, making things a little more
comfortable for users.

By design the updater always takes a few days to start prompting about
the update so I always done it this way, like you never having a problem.
We ought to remember to disable our real time AV before updating because
of the new SBIE driver thats installed when installing a new version.

The most important improvement on this version is fixing this issue
found a few months ago.

To fix it Tzuk implemented a block ports setting.

Default Why needed?

New to this place. Just found out about Sandboxie.

Wondering why needed if you have a new generation firewall.

For example doesn't Comodo Firewall do sandboxing (Think Outpost also does this). Doesn't Comodo sandbox the browser etc. In fact with Comodo there is a feature where you can run any app whatever in a sandbox. So with all of that what exactly does Sandboxie do extra???

I have never used Comodo. If you are using the Comodo Sandbox then
don't use Sandboxie because of probable conflicts. If you are not using
Comodo then you ll benefit if you start using SBIE because your browsing
will be isolated and virtualized preventing undesirable changes to your
system. When you finish browsing and you delete the contents of the
Sandbox, every thing is gone except what YOU decided to recover.
If you learn SBIE, malware infections will disappear from your PC.
