This leaves manual editing of files and registry as your only option. This process requires a high degree of ability and is not recommended for those without it ![]() There are plenty of other firewalls around and I would simply make another choice

AppRemover might have been a good option, but it does not support removing firewalls. At the moment, it supports removing only antivirus. The whole list of supported applications can be seen here :
http://www.appremover.com/supported-applications So, what MC says holds true. Removing the remnants would require a tool like registry cleaner, but considering the risks involved, do not go for it.

I found a thread on Sunbelt forum, which contains the link to exe of removal tool for Sunbelt firewall. Its here :
http://supportforums.sunbeltsoftware...6&threadid=346 But, I read on other thread, that to remove a particular version of Sunbelt Firewall, an appropriate version of cleaner is needed. So, best would be to post about your problem on the Sunbelt forum, and they will provide you the link to the appropriate version of the removal tool.

Hi,

Also, there are two legends used in that list, depending on whether OPSWAT Labs tested and verfies the support or users. The way I understand it is that if an application is not mentioned, that could be because it's actually unsupported, but also because OPSWAT Labs hasn't tested it or no user feedback was provided. On that link, there's also the following: Quote:

Yes, I think he can try that. No harm in trying(or can there be?). But, I don't see any firewall being mentioned in that list. Mostly there are antivirus, security suites, antispyware. But, it may work. Maybe a firewall will be the first?
.But, if there is a Sunbelt Firewall removal tool, that would be the best way to go.

Hi Anupam,
Actually, I don't know if there could be any harm, since a couple of times I tried to use that feature, the application of interest wasn't recognized. There's a good chance that it won't find Sunbelt Firewall's remnants either, but he could still check it out - after all, AppRemover is a standalone application, so not much hassle. I know for sure that AppRemover recognizes OA on Win XP, but can't say if the removal would be successful as I never used AppRemover to uninstall OA. Let's see, if wekslap reports back.
