ritho i've tried it, it seems to work if you take up entire space so no room for it to copy. but I just cant atest to its effectiveness :S
TrueCrypt is mainly to prevent people from getting into files, not onto usb stick :S
eyeb, Time Freeze also has the option to protect the system when USB s are plugged in.
