Default New tool to block drive by malware (coming soon)

Full story here:

http://arstechnica.com/security/news...e-software.ars

The name of the tool is BLADE (Block All Drive-by Download Exploits) :

http://www.blade-defender.org/

The site just says the tool is "coming soon". No other details are given.

Correct me If I'm wrong, but would noscript stop drive by malware from executing since it blocks javascript (which is required to run any executable in a webpage).

reading the description, I dont think it would work as well as sandboxie. It prevents programs from running that is launched by browser and only protects against persistant files. Sandboxies does both of these and a bit more.

Unless there is a more to this than what article highlighted, I don't find it worth using over sandboxie.

This KMeleon browser, i think i will give it a try. The editor here says that it is actually the fastest browser but with limited support for extensions. I just hope that it has an adblocker

To the topic now, there is another tool from Microsoft that protects from exploits and as i notice is the latest hype at Wilders

You can use a out dated version of Adblock plus. The newer Versions
are not compatible wit Kmeleon.
