Thanks for the heads up about yet another scam.

Not detracting from the value of this post at all, but what made my day were the comments directed supposedly at the Symantec VP under the article linked to at Yahoo!

I do believe some people would follow the suggestions to uninstall their anti virus and then get heavily infected by doing so.

Thanks for pointing that out MC, I didn't pay much attention to the comments on my first visit - I guess I'm getting bored with the constant negative talk about Symantec.

The Fake MSE warning looks exactly like a real one. Thanks for the warning
26dolphins. I think I would have been fool by this one till the point when it
ask for money or prompts to use the online scanner.
