Agreed. I do try not to be too cynical but Comodo do have a history of releasing stuff for us in the community to "finish off" for them.

I guess the Comodo forum and Wilders will be the first places to carry the good and the bad news about how successful they've been with this one

The year 2010 has just begun. They have still 11 months to debug it. I have a long time waited to see a freebie of rollback software.

So far worked for me on my test system, but who knows....

Right now the risks outweigh the benefits for me.
I'm having a hard time seeing the advantage of CTM over Windows 7's own system/file restore.

I apologize for revamping an old thread. However, I'm once again reviewing my options for "rollback" software vs. virtualization software. I almost put this post in Anupam's thread about Wondershare Time Freeze, but that product is no longer free, so I posted here.

After using Sandboxie for a while and loving it, I'm still faced with the issue of wanting something different for testing out programs and software. I do have image backups. But, I want something quicker and easier than having to restore my whole c drive image.

(As an early PS, I would just love for someone to do a complete article on the main site on this topic. There are so many different options available....)

I've been considering CTM, Bufferzone Pro (no 64-bit version available yet), VirtualBox, Returnil, VMWare and a bunch of other options. But, I keep coming back to CTM.

Is anyone using CTM on a Windows 7, 64-bit machine who is also using Sandboxie? I'd love to know your experiences.

Lastly, not to revise an old topic, but what do you recommend for testing software?

I've personally tested CTM and CSB before and never was comfortable. Some problems with dual system boot and some other software. Maybe I give a try to both of them again

I used CTM with a separate HD. Now I have a new PC with only one HD, so I use Virtualbox.

What exactly do you use VirtualBox for? Do you use it for testing out software?

How difficult was it to install? Do you need a CD/DVD of the OS you are using for VirtualBox?

To test AV-software against malware. Easy to install and use. Yes, you need CD/DVD of the OS you are using.
