Secunia PSI heavily does. It never runs for me if I disable IE in any way.

And, of course, it gives the newest version of IE a caution!

This is sort of like firewalls that try to block unwanted access to the Internet, and then launch their "Help" to your default browser, right out to the Internet!

Worse still, you un-install a firewall (hoping that it's re-engaged Windows during the process) and then up pops IE asking what you thought to the product
OK so you can disconnect first, but not everyone who's permanently connected will remember. Do you still have protection until after the re-boot process? I'm not actually sure, even if an option to retain service when the application is closed was selected previously.

At least IE doesn't pop-up anymore after I disabled it in Windows 7. Now Firefox pops-up.

Next, select My Network Zones - Add then New Network Zone. Name it (My DNS Servers). You can then add your DNS server addresses to the zone create by clicking in the space provided and add - A New Address for each one. I call mine Comodo DNS Servers and use their addresses accordingly - 156.154.70.22 and 156.154.71.22. If you are still using you ISP's DNS addresses, then now might be a good time to consider switching to something safer!

Got a bit confused here with their interface. Where do I enter the DNS servers?

- A single ip address
- A range of ip addresses
- An ip address mask

You use "single IP address". Add the first one and save it, then click to add the second and save that too. Anyone not using Comodo which makes the necessary Windows adjustment at install (if selected) will also need to add these addresses manually into their network configurations.
