For the last week I have been using Prevx SafeOnline for web browser protection. It seems to be working in that it has prevented me from doing a couple of things it considered risky, until I lowered the protection level. But since this is a new product, I was wondering if anyone else can give any feedback on using it? Other than the Wilder Security Forum and the Prevx website itself, I haven't seen any info on SafeOnline and whether it lives up to the Prevx hype of greatly enhancing browser security, particularly when performing financial transactions.

I had recently installed Prevx 3.0 free version on my PC, and it had installed a tab like thing on all the browsers. I believe it was SafeOnline. I have Avast, and it already scans the pages... plus I have WOT too. I believe with these two already there, the SafeOnline thing was making my browsing slow, and therefore I removed Prevx. I had installed Prevx out of curiosity anyways.

Hi I believe what Safe online does is give you some kind of protection
when you are banking and it helps you against phishing sites, but I am not very clear. I install Prevx sandboxed every once in a while just to do real quick scans on my system32 and program folders and then its out of my compuer until next time. Bo |

It is a kind of combination of keyscrambler, anti-logger and web shield. Works well for me.
------------------------ Prevx SafeOnline protects against all forms of browser-based attack, including: * Man-In-The-Browser * Phishing attacks * Keyloggers * Screen Grabbers * Cookie Stealers * Info Stealing Trojans such as ZEUS, MBR, Goldun, and Silent Banker |

Still don't altogether like their marketing tactics but at least they're not stealing anyone else's signatures
![]() Can't deny the quality and performance of the product - x64 compat. with SafeOnline in around another month.

Avast antivirus has a webshield too, which I believe scans the webpages. I have Avast, and when I installed PrevX 3.0, SafeOnline was installed with it. I felt, the pages were opening a bit slow with SafeOnline activated. Anyone else experienced that with similar configuration?

From skimming through their forums occasionally, they seem to have great customer service with prompt feedback and solutions. I would like to trial the full version though without having to pay for it first. The free version is nice, but doesn't give you the experience of just how good/bad the full version is. |

Well I went ahead yesterday and got a license for Prevx protection and removal capabilities. I run x64, so there was no use in paying for safe online when I can't use it yet. I may not purchase it when it is released, I may not need it. I found the fact that this app runs soooo light, what looks to me to be great customer service on their support forum, and a well earned good reputation overall as just too attractive. I was using Nod32 and then switched to MSE and gave it a try. I was really wanting to switch to a free av solution. Although I think MSE is a great free solution, it will slow down some operations, such as opening up other drives or partitions for the 1st time or getting into programs and features for the first time for example, with it always scanning archives. I put MSE on my mother's and sister's pc when it was released, but I think that was a good choice for them since they don't really dig into windows and other hard drives, they just do email, office, and stream media. They were running Avast, but I thought that windows started a little quicker and felt a little lighter with MSE on their pcs. I was willing to drop Avast because of no heuristics (except for email). I think heuristics is important today, Avast may have that in their beta build, but I am not sure. I can instantly feel the better performance with Prevx on my pc though, as compared to MSE. When one has a 3G quad-core and 8G of ram under the hood, and the av is causing some slugishness issues, well it's time to make a change IMO.
